The stick house is sold as of 12/8/06 and we're outta here as of 12/15/06 (assuming we finish all of the packing, furniture selling, etc, etc). First stop will be Bloomington, IN to see Sandy's folks followed by a short stop in Iowa City, IA to see the grandkids. Next is Xmas in Lincoln, NE with Mike's mom and son Kevin followed by a direct southerly route to warmer climates. The first winter will be spent in Mesa, AZ (maybe lots of future winters???) with good friends Glenn and Jalene Carter. Spring will see a trip to Mike's sister in Salem, OR and then on to Dayton, OH for the annual gathering of ham geeks at the Dayton Hamvention.
Who knows after that? Plans are to visit a number of areas in search of retirement Utopia, but who knows how long that will take or where we'll wind up?

Hi you two! Good to hear from you. Hope all is going well. We have a roof over our heads in Iowa, and shingles on that roof...yea! Builder is saying April is the date for us to plan to move into the new house. Christmas is here unless little Kaytlynn gets her way and makes Uncle Ron change his mind and go back to Iowa. We'll see. Those tears were so big when he told her that we were staying here for Christmas! Anyway you are welcome to come to our house and we would love to see you again. Let us know. Thanks for your comment on our blog. It was fun to find one. I just updated the blog a bit, so there is another entry. Glad it's going well with your new home. And..Thank gawd for kind guys/good friends who happen to be dentists! We celebrated on Dec 8, the selling of yur house! Yes..we got granddaughter #2! Maggie is a doll and everybody agrees except 'big' sister Nora!
